1. How do I install Javatrax onto my computer?
Double click on the JTSetup.exe file that
you down loaded and follow the instructions.

2. Why does Javatrax have to be in Standby
mode?
It is necessary to have Javatrax in "standby"
mode because when you click on the sequencer button in the
course, it will send a message to Javatrax to open up.

3. How do I turn off the MIDI Local Control
so that I don't hear over lapping sounds when I play my instrument?
This is a MIDI function so you will have to
go into your MIDI settings of your instrument and find the
Local Control function. Some instruments have a global local
control setting while others allow you to set local controls
for individual midi channels. Regardless of the system, the
local control must be set to OFF. Please refer to your instrument
owner's manual for more information.

in the Setup and Installation Guide.

4. How do I set my musical instrument to
General MIDI mode?
This is a MIDI function so you will have to
go into your MIDI settings of your instrument and find the
General MIDI function. The General MIDI mode must be set to
ON. Some musical instruments have the General MIDI mode automatically
assigned to ON when you turn on the instrument. Please refer
to your instrument owner's manual for more information.

in the Setup and Installation Guide.

5. When I play a song in Javatrax why do
all the parts play with the piano sound?
If all the parts of your song play in the
piano sound, that means you haven't set your instrument to
General Midi.

6. How do I configure the MIDI setup of
my instrument for Javatrax?
The very first time you launch Javatrax, a
MIDI setup window appears. Configure the MIDI IN and MIDI
OUT settings and then press OK. If you are using a digital
piano then you will want to configure the settings for your
sound card otherwise configure the settings for your instrument.
To change your MIDI IN and MIDI OUT settings,
go to Start >Programs >Javatrax and click on MIDI Setup.
Configure the MIDI IN and MIDI OUT settings and then press
OK.
